The Plan
The PCC Educational Master Plan will be a comprehensive document developed by the District with the active participation of the Board of Trustees, students, faculty, staff, community members, and local business and industry leaders. This plan will focus the college’s understanding of new education priorities and needed program enhancements to ensure that PCC fulfills its mission of providing high-quality programs and instruction to ensure successful student learning.
The plan will include research-based evidence and best practices to help PCC meet student educational needs in 2020 and beyond. More specifically, the plan will:
- Identify new program opportunities
- Inform faculty and staffing needs
- Provide a foundation for updating the District’s Facility Master Plan Technology Plan and other planning documents
- Establish a connection between comprehensive planning and the PCC Strategic Plan development and budget allocation process
- Engage the community in planning for the future
